Nicoletta Marinelli

Nicoletta Marinelli is an Assistant Professor of Financial Markets and Institutions at the Department of Economics and Law, University of Macerata – Italy, where she teaches Financial Risk Management and Financial Derivatives.

Her main academic interests are in the area of investors behaviour, from both the perspectives of individual as well as institutional investors. Individual investors have been studied with a privilege focus on their risk tolerance assessment and the related impact upon financial and insurance decisions. Institutional investors have been investigated as a broad category or individually defined types with a specific attention on their effect upon firm value.

Her previous research has also addressed the important issue of alternative investments (specifically, fine art). Recently, she has further developed this area of investigation by studying Social Impact Finance, with a specific focus on the contribution to portfolio diversification.
