Giuseppe Scellato is associate Professor at Politecnico di Torino, where he teaches corporate finance and economics and management of innovation. He is the President of the Business Incubator of Politecnico di Torino.
During 2015-2018 he has been the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management. Since 2017 he is a member of the board of the Future Urban Legacy Lab (FULL-Polito). Since 2008 he is research affiliate of the Bureau of Research in Innovation Complexity and Knowledge at Collegio Carlo Alberto.
His main research interests are in the area of economics and management of innovation, entrepreneurial finance, the economic analysis of intellectual property rights and the economics of science. His scientific publications have appeared in leading international journals, including Science, Nature, Journal of Corporate Finance, Research Policy, Journal of Banking and Finance. He has been the principal investigator of research projects funded by the European Commission, the European Patent Office, the EU Joint Research Center, the European Investment Bank, the National Bureau of Economic Research (USA). He has been member of expert groups and committees for the evaluation of public policies for research and innovation.
